Three views of the first queen model on black: a figure encrusted in cracked, dusty bone-white and black mineral textures with arms crossed and a translucent cape, seen from the side, front and back.
Interactive 3D model of the second queen character: a tall white figure with red accents, an ornate crown and flared hip and shoulder ornaments.

I started out making the model on the left with realistic dusty tones. It looked good, but my idea was to have the character as the main character for the game I was about to create. So therefore I thought of redoing the character to have some more regal shape language and a striking colour scheme to catch the eye of the beholder.

I looked at references of royalty from different eras and cultures and tried to break apart the different ways the shapes of their attire reflected their stature. I ended up elongating the legs of the model to exaggerate and give the character a beautiful stature, and then I added ornate details to the hips and shoulders to break apart the silhouette and accentuate the shoulders and hips, which brings about a more striking stature. This, along with changing the colour scheme to a more minimalistic and contrasting one, gave the character more appeal.
